The 2027 Elan Wingman 83 C is a quick, confidence-boosting frontside ski designed for skiers who want smooth turns, strong edge hold, and a little forgiveness built in. Lightweight and responsive thanks to its carbon-reinforced construction, the Wingman 83 C is all about control and easy maneuverability, making it a great choice for weekend warriors and progressing intermediates alike.
Why we like it:
It’s light, intuitive, and fast edge to edge—everything you want in a ski that makes groomer laps feel effortless.
Who it's for:
Intermediate to advanced skiers looking for a lightweight, lively ski for groomed terrain that isn’t overly demanding.
Highlights:
The Wingman 83 C uses Elan’s PowerLine Technology and a carbon-reinforced laminated woodcore to keep the ski stable without sacrificing agility. Slanted Sidewall Technology enhances edge grip, while the asymmetrical Amphibio profile—more rocker on the outside edge, more camber on the inside—makes for smooth, intuitive turn initiation and solid edge hold through the carve. The 83 mm waist is quick edge-to-edge, making it ideal for narrow trails, firm snow, and fast-paced resort skiing.
Things to consider:
The Wingman 83 C is designed with accessibility and lightness in mind, and so stronger or more aggressive skiers who ski fast or like to power through variable conditions may find it lacks the dampness and stability they prefer. Additionally, with an 83 mm waist and resort-focused profile, it's not built for off-trail adventures or soft-snow performance. This ski shines on groomers and hardpack, but if you’re looking for all-mountain range, you might want to look elsewhere.
Fit & sizing considerations:
These ski true to size, and you can stick with your usual length for a nice balance of power and quickness.
