What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Such a fun, playful and useful ski! It's more smeary and stable than a Bent 100, but not as smooth as a QST 100. Certainly sets itself apart from the many other options in the 100 mm twin tip category. Lots of taper for a quick and agile feel, but solid underfoot for some surprisingly good carving performance. Amazing tree ski with enough on trail performance to be an easy 1 ski quiver for many.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

All-mountain freeride/freestyle.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Intermediate to expert.

I had the opportunity to test and provide feedback for some earlier prototypes and I think Blizzard nailed it with the final version.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

This is an amazingly playfull freeride ski. It felt like I could conquer the ice while also playing off the side hits.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This is a very playful freeride ski. It's ability to be super playful while also being all there ready for the ice.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Although intermediate skiers could use this ski, it's made for those expert skiers who love their skis playful.

Hot momma! Loved every second with these even with horrible snow conditions.

Fells pretty true link but has a lot of rocker in it and feels shorter edge to edge as a result.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

The new Canvas 100 was surprisingly stable at speed in a way that I didn’t expect. I’ve been a long time fan of the Rustler line up from Blizzard and I wasn’t expecting the Canvas with its very different construction to feel so similar. The Canvas 100 has a lot of rocker, more than the Rustler 10. It wants to be playful and quick edge to edge and in and out of the moguls and trees but still has a great edge hold when pushing them hard. I can imagine that the Canvas 100 would perform exceptionally well in soft snow but without the conditions for that I can’t speak to it personally.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This is definitely a strong Freeride ski that works really well in a mixed terrain environment. I would shoot for softer snow, steeper terrain, jumps, cliffs, this ski feels like it can really do it all.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

The Canvas is a very approachable ski. I think lower level intermediate skiers can find the ski easy to use especially in the shorter lengths. More advanced skiers can really do a lot with this platform though, the high end performance feels very strong.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

The new Canvas line is an another knock out winner from Blizzard. I can’t believe that I’m considering a world where I’d rather take a Canvas 100 over a Rustler 10 but it’s certainly an argument to make. The bottom line is that it’s great to have options, Rustler is more aggressive while the Canvas is more playful. They’re both incredibly fun!

Fun. Responsive, maneuverable, playful, and fun!

All-terrain/off piste/park.

Intermediate to advanced skiers will have a great time on the ski, expert skiers will find the limit pretty quickly.

This is a really fun ski, but it didn’t quite have enough OOMPH when you get it up to speed and lay it over relative to some of the other skis in the class. That being said, I think it would probably excel in a fatter plank… Long and short is I think it gets out shined in the 100mm class but could really do well in the 108 or fatter.

I love trying to make the most of the slopes, making lots of GS turns when the conditions are there, or milking it on the edges of the trails if need be. I hit every side hit I can and will usually end my runs in the park, working on basic tricks, nothing too fancy. I do a little bit of everything, but I like a ski that is stable when carving at speed, while still playful enough to take in the woods (tip+tail rocker with some camber))

186 felt right for me, the Canvas 100s have a bunch of tip and tail rocker, so I would recommend favoring a longer size.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Initially I thought they would be too long, but after getting up to speed and carving on them, they fealt great! Given the conditions were pretty thin, I still felt like they were pretty playful and buttery.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Although I didn't get a chance to ski these in the woods, I think these would be super good tree skis. The mount point felt great, I felt like I was right in the sweet spot where swinging the skis in smaller turns was super easy. The softer tips and tails, along with the rocker, would be great in some deeper snow, I'd imagine.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Intermediate to advanced. This could easily be a one ski quiver for someone who likes skiing all sorts of terrain aggressively. It is easy to turn and pretty forgiving in the bumps. If you love to carve, it's not the easiest to get on edge, but I fealt very confident in the ski once I was carving.

I had so much fun on this ski. It felt like the perfect balance of stiffness underfoot and float in the tips and tails. I felt like I could do it all on this ski - powder, groomers, trees, jumps and rails.

This ski is a great choice for someone that wants one ski that can do it all. Powder, groomers, park laps!

This ski is perfect for intermediate-advanced skiers, especially those with freestyle tendencies.

It's a very, very, playful and maneuverable ski.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

I would recommend park skiing or trees. It gives you a very nice platform to land on when taking any airs or jumps. Light enough to maneuver around trees or rotate at a moments notice.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Intermediate to advanced, it has a nice springy pop to it which means that it can at times catch you off guard if you aren't on top of it.

I would love this ski as an all-mountain jibber, it's the ultimate side hit ski.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Such a fun ski! I've been on the Canvas 108 a lot more than the 100 this season, so it was nice to spend some time on the 100. Just dropping down in width, it's not quite as strong as the 108, but really neither ski is designed to be particularly strong. The agility of the 100 is off the charts. It's lightning quick when you need to wiggle through tight terrain and takes that same quickness into the park too. The swing weight is so low it actually threw me off a little bit at first. Once you get used to it, you can fully use it to your advantage. It's a interesting ski as it definitely takes a lighter weight approach into the "wider twin tip" market. I think a lot of skiers are going to love it, I just struggle to come up with a good comparison.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

It's best in softer snow and/or playful terrain. Any firmer snow conditions will push it to its limits for stability. It can do it, but it doesn't feel as good as it does when the snow is softer. It's also perfectly at home in the park. I wouldn't say that's its primary goal, but for someone who wants a fun twin tip all-mountain ski that can also go in the park, it's a great option.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

It's light enough and the shape is forgiving enough to allow an intermediate to ski it without issue. For advanced/expert skiers, it's going to come down to stylistic preferences. If you're a playful skier who likes twin tips and light skis, you'll love it. If you're looking for a charger, you're better off with Rustler or better yet Anomaly.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Another fantastic 100 mm twin tip! Geez. What a time to be alive. I think the Canvas 100 slots in nicely among all the other options on the market. It feels very light on your feet and extremely agile. I do think the 100 has more park vibes than the 108 and 118, which I suppose isn't surprising, but it's not quite as capable as those skis at speed or in steep technical terrain. You find a limitation there, where Rustlers really shine, but then this Canvas 100 is just so fun when you're being creative. Whether in the park or skiing the rest of the mountain, it inspired playfulness and begs for you to jump off of stuff, slide some rails, and have a ton of fun.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

It's versatile enough for a wide range of terrain, you just have to be aware of its limitations at speed in different situations. On firm groomers or on steep, bumpy freeride terrain, it'll get bounced around a bit and can lose edge grip, but that's really not what it's designed for.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

It's approachable for an intermediate for sure, especially if you want to start exploring new terrain and don't want a heavy, tiring ski. Advanced and expert park skiers will absolutely love it and will find quite a bit of versatility too. I think, in general, if you're not a park skier or don't have that background, you'll almost definitely prefer a Rustler 9 or 10 from Blizzard.

I wish it had the pink accents that the 118 has, but that feels like a really superficial thing to care about.
