Would describe myself as a freecarver (Freeride skier at heart with a love for carving). Any excuse to go drops, cliffs, jumps, spins, etc., I will take. But also very much enjoy pure carving on skis that many would consider far too wide to carve on.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

This thing is so sweet. Extremely easy to maneuver and the definition of surfy. The tip taper makes them so easy to turn in tight spaces but still allows for some great floatation. The tail taper allows you to rudder and slither so effortlessly. It's a pivot machine, I can ony imagine what it would be like in bottomless snow. Huge fan of this ski, an east coast deep day weapon for sure. Similar in stiffness to the Blank but more surfy.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Powder, trees, chutes, big mountain, bowls, etc, not the best on trail but does just fine.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Advanced to expert skiers will be able to take advantage of what it offers.

It skis a bit short due to the more centered mount point, but I did bump it back a bit to feel like there's some more shovel. I still think I'd go longer here as it's quite mobile and agile for being so wide.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

It's always a good time when you get to test a playful powder ski in its intended conditions, and this thing is awesome. While I'm not the target market for a freestyle-oriented powder twin tip, I can say that it actually fits my style of tree skiing at Stowe quite well. It floats amazingly well, is so easy to smear and wiggle.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This is pretty specific to softer and deeper snow. On the occasional time that I got it out of the powder and on to a softer groomer, it wasn't the best turner. I bet some skiers will like how it works on soft groomers, but I'm not one of them.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

This is an advanced and expert ski due to the width, but I can see those who are looking for an easier turning ski at this width having a great time on these, even if freestyle/freeride isn't their thing.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

This ski is just an absolute blast. It fits in great here at Stowe, or would do awesome in any other place that has tighter trees and deeper snow.

All mountain that could handle a powder day.

I didn’t like this ski, it felt clumsy. Maybe skier error? Maybe I got lazy with foot position?

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

An impressively versatile ski considering the width. Definitely prefers soft snow (loved it in Nosedive glades, even on only a dusting of fresh snow), but this ski will happily rail some big GS turns on a fresh groomer. Very poppy as well - one of the more confidence-inspiring skis for airs and landings that I've tried.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

I would recommend this ski for someone who uses groomed trails to get from one powder stash to the next - they'll do great on that packed terrain, but will be their best in the woods with deeper snow.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

This ski felt fairly approachable - I think an intermediate skier would probably be able to handle it, but it's likely best for an advanced or expert skier.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

I would not have guessed these were 112 underfoot if I had to guess - impressive edge grip and edge-to-edge transition. Felt like a 105-ish.

It's super surfy with long rocker, so kind of skis short, but it's big, so doesn't really ski short... if that makes sense.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

The Revolt 112 certainly isn't for everyone, but for those who like surfy, floaty, twin tip powder skis, it's phenomenal! It really has the personality of a wider ski as it has a crazy amount of float, and then it's ridiculously easy to pivot and maneuver, even in deep snow. Some skiers will absolutely love it if you're comfortable skiing in that style, lots of slashy turns and creativity. If you're used to more feedback from your skis, especially in what you choose for deep snow, you might find it just kinda wanders. It's really a stylistic thing. Also a very centered mount point for a ski this wide, so keep that in mind.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Definitely best in deep snow. It'll be interesting to ski it again in less snow just because I think it's fun skiing giant skis like this on soft groomers to kind of see the other side of them, but realistically, at 112, it's best when you have deep snow. That said, it'll really ski any type of terrain. It's super quick in the trees here at Stowe, but would be a blast slashing and smearing turns in open terrain.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

It's so big, it's really at least an advanced level ski. I think it's best on the feet of a playful expert skier with more of a freeski/freestyle inspired skiing style. Hitting backcountry jumps, landing switch in deep snow, slashing massive turns at high speeds, those are the things it does really well.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

It's a nice ski to have in the line. There are a lot of Revolts and I was somewhat skeptical at first, but it's a super fun ski and fits into the line nicely. Gives you a lot of the float of the 121 without having to go that wide. Much different than the 114... they are practically opposites.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

It's already well established this ski is incredible in deep snow and when wiggling through the trees here in Vermont on a powder day. It was, however, really fun to try it on a spring day. Its surfy nature comes through in spring snow too, but it actually tracks surprisingly well too when you tip it up on edge. I had fun being silly on it and sliding some rails too. It's super fun skiing park on wide skis like this sometimes, especially in soft spring conditions. Fantastic powder ski, but some capabilities outside that too.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

It's definitely best in powder and that's really why you should be buying it, but it's nice to know you can take it out on other days and still have a really fun time.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

It's so wide and with the rocker and taper shape, it's best for an advanced or expert skier. An intermediate would likely have trouble controlling it and would probably feel like it was just wandering around.

Interesting graphics on the Revolts for 2027. I'm still not sure if I like them, but they sure are loud and noticeable!
